Precision Castparts' PCC Structurals – Carson City is seeking an entry-level Foundry Operator to support the production of precision castings used in aerospace and industrial applications. You’ll prepare molds, load materials, and operate foundry equipment in a safety‑conscious, team‑oriented environment.

This hands‑on role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and a willingness to learn specialized processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• This is an entry-level opportunity.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience using hand tools is preferred.
• Experience working in hot production environments is preferred.
• Foundry or metal-casting experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions is required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn manufacturing equipment and processes are required.

Responsabilités

• Preheat ovens and load molds according to the casting schedule.
• Verify mold identification, oven temperatures, oxygen levels, and loading positions.
• Confirm ingots and alloy materials match production requirements.
• Operate vacuum casting furnaces and other foundry equipment safely.
• Prepare materials and supplies needed for daily production.
• Fill hot-top cans, restock materials, and assist with crucible changes.
• Load ovens, stage carts, and keep tools and supplies organized.
• Complete daily supply sheets and document equipment downtime.
• Support preventive maintenance and basic equipment care.
• Clean foundry and investment areas, including floors, equipment, and workspaces.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and tank cleaning as needed.
