Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely load, unload and move vehicles around the auction lot. You will operate forklifts, tow equipment and loaders, plus assist with towing and safety procedures to support daily sale activities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. This is an on-site position with potential overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, and maneuver forklift/loader with 18-foot forks across the auction lot.
• Read stock numbers on computer screens and verify against vehicle information before loading.
• Move vehicles to inventory staging, sale stalls, or storage as directed by paperwork or screens.
• Operate tow truck and other service vehicles as needed on the lot and at various locations.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on tow trucks and loaders to ensure safe operation.
• Assist in towing, jump-starting batteries, and unlock tasks as requested by staff.
