General Dynamics Electric Boat in Connecticut seeks a fluid systems engineer to support VIRGINIA Class and SSN(X) submarine fluid systems from concept through ship delivery. You will work on hydraulic, auxiliary, habitability, HVAC, seawater and compressed gas systems essential to life support and mission success.

The role requires a BS in mechanical/aerospace/chemical/marine or fire protection, 0–1 year of related engineering experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance.

Qualificações

• BS degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical, marine, or fire protection with relevant thermodynamics/ fluid dynamics coursework.
• 0–1 year of related engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
• Some travel may be necessary.

Responsabilidades

• Develop initial system/component requirements and perform pressure drop, flow analyses, heat loads, and stress analysis.
• Develop and review fluid system diagrams, drawings, and specifications; select materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and support design changes for VIRGINIA Class and SSN(X) programs; manage interfaces and documentation.
