Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is hiring for a Floater/Machine Operator Assistant in Covington, GA. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training, with a pathway to learn the box-making process and safety procedures through hands-on supervision.

You will assist in learning from Machine Operators and Trainers, support quality checks, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while complying with PPE requirements and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role; no degree required.
• Must be able to read and understand basic English.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Willing to train on 1st shift for 3 weeks.
• Must wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Learn the manufacturing process from Operators and Trainers.
• Identify and report quality issues.
• Maintain workspace housekeeping and organization.
• Perform other duties as needed.
