Job summary

WestRock Company is seeking an entry-level Floater/Machine Operator Assistant in Covington, GA. The position starts at $22.04/hour with a 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM) and requires overtime and occasional weekend work. Training on the 1st shift is planned for the first three weeks.

You will learn the packaging manufacturing process, safety procedures, and how to operate industrial machinery. No degree is required; a learning mindset and basic English are essential.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; no degree required.
• Basic English literacy required.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and participate in the plant’s safety culture.
• Learn the manufacturing process from Machine Operators and Trainers.
• Assist Machine Operators in production tasks.
• Alert Operator to quality issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
• Perform other duties as needed.
