Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is hiring a Forklift Driver to support a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility in Georgia. The role offers full-time hours with multiple shifts and overtime opportunities.

Successful candidates will handle loading/unloading, inventory checks, and bin/pallet handling with a focus on safety and quality. Expect competitive benefits; must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification with 3-5 years forklift experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Math skills will be assessed.
• Read and understand an order spec sheet.
• Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16” measurement) and some computer skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks; warehouse product and materials and supply production lines with requested product and/or components in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure units are banded properly; load tags visible; no broken or missing straps.
• Perform the last visual quality inspection; ensure unit and truck counts are correct; paperwork is accurate.
• Train on computerized scanner for inventory control; unload incoming material and perform visual quality inspection; counts accurate.
