Northrop Grumman's Space Sector seeks a Flight Inspector – Level 1 to join the team in Dulles, VA. This entry-level, onsite role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Read drawings, inspect hardware, and ensure compliance with standards while learning and growing within aerospace. The position offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, a base salary range and comprehensive benefits described in the Total Rewards package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.
• No clearance required to start.
• Must be able to read engineering documentation
• Able to use Microsoft applications and ability to learn new computer programs/applications.
• Basic technical writing skills are required.
• Willingness to support 2nd shift as required, with occasional overtime, weekend, and Holiday support if needed.
• This role requires some physical agility and ability to climb ladders and work at floor level.

Responsabilités

• Read engineering drawings to determine inspection method, tools, and acceptance criteria for new/unfamiliar parts.
• Perform detailed inspections on Electrical and Mechanical flight hardware.
• Conduct detailed dimensional and visual inspections using calibrated measuring equipment, including magnification.
• Confirm adherence to quality standards and workmanship in assigned work centers.
• Identify discrepant conditions and generate nonconformance reports.
• Follow ESD, FOD, and handling controls for flight hardware.
• Perform other duties as assigned
