Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group in Dover, DE is seeking an entry-level Fleet Technician to support inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance under guidance from management. You’ll help ensure vehicles meet federal, state, and corporate standards while gaining hands-on experience in a growing fleet operations team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
• Post-secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
• 1 year experience in mechanical inspections and repairs.
• Valid Driver’s License with ability to obtain CDL within 120 days.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition via preventive maintenance inspections and tests.
• Perform campaigns, install components, and upgrades as directed.
• Repair and adjust components, including lighting and air/electrical systems.
• Verify performance by test drives and control adjustments.
• Handle tire repairs, rotations, and mounting.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle standards.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and shop equipment; manage supplies.
• Control costs by evaluating warranty and parts options.
• Manage stock inventory and orders.
