Job summary

SVT Fleet Solutions is seeking an Entry Level Fleet Technician in Smyrna, DE to support preventive maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs under management guidance. The role focuses on keeping vehicles safe, compliant, and road-ready while offering growth into higher technician levels.

You will conduct inspections, assist with component installs, service adjustments, and document work while following federal, state and corporate guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; certifications or vocational training are a plus.
• Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
• 1 year experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Determines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections and related checks.
• Performs campaigns, installs components, and part upgrades as directed.
• Performs light repairs and corrects vehicle deficiencies.
• Verifies vehicle performance by test drives and adjustments.
• Performs tire repairs, replacements, and rotations as needed.
• Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing standards.
• Maintains vehicle appearance and keeps shop trucks and equipment operating.
• Controls costs by using warranty options and evaluating services.
