Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Fire Protection Sprinkler Fitter for our new construction division. You will install and test automatic fire suppression systems and interpret drawings to determine layout requirements. Responsibilities include mounting clamps and hangers, connecting piping to water mains, and training helpers.

You will work at multiple job sites and uphold NFPA standards. We value safety and reliability; final compensation will be determined by experience and licensure.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine layout
• Ability to interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
• Knowledge of NFPA standards
• Must be able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
• Follow written and oral instructions with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets drawings to determine layout requirements
• Installs clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping and sprinkler equipment
• Connects piping to water mains, tanks, pumps and control equipment
• Tests system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment
• Trains and directs day-to-day work of a helper
• Maintains documentation for the work performed
