Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Louisa, VA is seeking a Fire Protection Sprinkler Helper to assist the sprinkler fitter with assembly and installation of fire protection sprinkler systems on various job sites within the new construction division.

The role requires a minimum of 6 months construction or sprinkler experience, knowledge of basic tools, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions, with the flexibility to report to multiple job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months construction or fire protection/sprinkler experience.
• Knowledge of basic tools and materials.
• Understands and practices proper use of power and hand tools.
• Possesses basic math and computation skills.
• Must multi-task and follow written and oral instructions with attention to detail.
• Must be available to report to multiple job sites as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, tests, adjusts and removes sprinkler systems.
• Selects specified type and size of pipe.
• Cuts, threads and hangs pipe.
• Assists in the installation of valves, couplings and fittings.
• Assists in lifting, positioning and securing materials during installation.
• Follows proper construction practices and company policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
