Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. seeks a Fire Protection Sprinkler Helper to assist the sprinkler fitter with the assembly and installation of fire protection sprinkler systems, installing sprinkler pipe, inspections, deficiencies, and repairs on various job sites within our new construction division.

The role requires basic math, familiarity with tools, and the ability to travel to multiple job sites as assigned; prior construction or fire protection experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months construction or fire protection experience.
• Knowledge of basic tools and materials.
• Understands proper use of power and hand tools.
• Basic math and computation skills.
• Able to multi-task, follow instructions, show attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, tests, adjusts and removes sprinkler systems.
• Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform duties.
• Selects specified pipe type and size.
• Cuts, threads and hangs pipe.
• Assists in installing valves, couplings and other fittings.
• Assists in lifting, positioning and securing materials during installation.
• Adheres to construction practices and company policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
