Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an entry-level Fire Alarm Service Support Technician to gain hands-on training under seasoned technicians. You will assist with inspections, testing, maintenance, and basic service tasks while developing foundational fire protection skills.

The position requires a high school diploma with no prior industry experience and involves working under direct supervision, traveling to job sites, and following safety policies in commercial, industrial, and construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior industry experience required.
• Ability to learn technical skills and follow instructions.
• Must be able to work under direct supervision.
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
• If Driving Role: Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with service and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Support basic troubleshooting activities under direct supervision.
• Handle tools, materials, and equipment required for service jobs.
• Travel to job sites with assigned team members.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Accurately complete basic documentation as directed by supervisor.
