Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking an entry-level Fire Alarm Service Apprentice Technician enrolled in its formal apprentice program. You will assist with fire alarm system service while under supervision, gaining hands-on experience and hitting learning milestones.

This role emphasizes structured training, development of technical skills, and adherence to safety policies as you progress through the apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in Pye-Barker’s formal and registered apprentice program.
• Ability to learn technical skills through structured training.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
• If Driving Role: Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with service of fire alarm systems.
• Participate in structured on-the-job training and complete required apprenticeship milestones.
• Develop technical skills related to fire alarm systems, tools, and equipment.
• Support troubleshooting activities under supervision.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
• Maintain accurate training logs and required documentation for apprenticeship program.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and industry standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, mentors, and team members.
• Travel to job sites as required with assigned team members.
• Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
