Pye‑Barker Fire & Safety is hiring an entry-level Fire Alarm Support Technician in Nebraska. You will receive hands-on training and work under the direct supervision of experienced technicians to assist with inspections, testing, maintenance, and basic service tasks.

This role focuses on learning industry standards and safety practices while developing foundational skills in fire protection. No prior experience required, with travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior industry experience required.
• Must be able to work under direct supervision.
• Ability to learn technical skills and follow instructions; basic mechanical aptitude preferred; clean driving record if role involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with service and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Support basic troubleshooting activities under direct supervision.
• Handle tools, materials, and equipment required for service jobs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Learn and apply industry standards, codes, and best practices.
• Accurately complete basic documentation as directed by supervisor.
• Travel to job sites as required with assigned team members.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
