Intertek is seeking an Entry Level Field Testing Technician for Edgewood, New York. The role involves field testing and building envelope inspections with on-the-job training, requiring travel most weeks and a shared company vehicle.

You will assist with field testing, document observations, and build professional client communications while developing expertise in building enclosure systems and testing standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months experience with hand and power tools.
• Willingness to travel 75%+ and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to learn building envelope systems and testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Field testing projects and building envelope testing as assigned.
• Perform forensic investigations of building envelope failures.
• Communicate with clients and project team on site observations and reporting matters.
• Prepare and submit accurate and concise project reports.
• Provide project coordination including planning, scheduling, execution and reporting.
