Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, and temperature tests, and document results daily at active job sites. Training is provided, and certifications are sponsored as you progress.

You'll operate on outdoor worksites, learn to standardize gauges, prepare reports tied to locations, and communicate findings directly to superintendents. This role offers hands-on learning with room to advance into supervisory or lab roles.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
• Company sponsors ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certifications.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
