Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Oklahoma City is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician. No experience is required; paid training is provided and you will begin testing under supervision.

The role is primarily field-based, collecting data, documenting site conditions and assisting with testing activities. As your experience grows, ECS will support you in training opportunities and certifications while you gain practical skills on real projects and interact with contractors,

Qualifications

  • 0 years of related experience and willingness to learn on the job.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Obtain basic certifications applicable to the work performed as per policy.
  • Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS.
  • Good communication skills, dependable, and detail-oriented work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision.
  • Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites.
  • Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
  • Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
  • Assists with preparation and submission of daily field reports.
  • Supports basic calculations and data entry related to testing results.
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining field equipment.
  • Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment.
  • Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
  • Performs other field and project support duties as assigned.
