Job summary

Intertek, a leader in quality and safety, is seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician – Construction Materials Testing in Chesapeake, Virginia. You will perform testing, site observations and data collection under supervision in the A/E/C industry.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required.
• Ability to read and understand work plans.
• Basic math, calculator, and computer skills required.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, project observations and site assessments under supervision.
• Operate testing equipment and analyze data from soils, concrete, or other materials.
• Work with drawings, specs, and diagrams to complete tasks.
• Observe site activities and record detailed observations.
• Maintain documentation and data from test results.
