Actalent is seeking an Entry‑Level Field Technician in Armonk, NY, to support field inspections, data collection, and documentation for infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and construction teams, learning hands-on with GPS, AutoCAD, GIS tools, and field reporting software. Some travel to project sites is required, with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, Environmental Science, GIS, Geography, or a related field.
• Strong interest in field operations, construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and project documentation (preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Entry-Level Field Technician

We are seeking an Entry‑Level Field Technician to join our growing team in Armonk, NY. This role is ideal for early‑career professionals who want to learn from industry experts while working on exciting infrastructure, development, and construction projects throughout the region.

What You’ll Do

• Perform field inspections and collect project‑related data at construction and development sites
• Assist with site investigations, measurements, and documentation
• Support engineering, surveying, and construction teams with field operations
• Record field observations and prepare reports using company software and mobile technology
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance checks on project activities
• Assist with GPS, survey, and mapping‑related tasks as needed
• Take photographs and document project progress for clients and project managers
• Ensure projects comply with safety standards and project specifications
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, architects, and field personnel
• Learn industry tools, technologies, and best practices through hands‑on training

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, Environmental Science, GIS, Geography, or a related field
• Strong interest in field operations, construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and project documentation (preferred but not required)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to travel locally to project sites
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, co‑op, or hands‑on experience in construction, surveying, engineering, architecture, or environmental projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, GPS equipment, surveying equipment, or construction drawings
• OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience using tablets, mobile applications, or digital field reporting tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Armonk, NY.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
