Responsibilities

• Support construction staking and layout for various projects.
• Collect accurate field measurements and survey data.
• Process and organize field data for mapping and drafting purposes.
• Assist in preparing survey maps, plats, and reports.
• Research property records, deeds, maps, and survey documents.
• Work closely with licensed land surveyors, engineers, and project managers.
• Ensure accuracy and quality control of survey data and documentation.

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Land Surveyor to join our growing team in Armonk, NY. What You'll Do

• Assist survey crews with field data collection for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
• Operate and maintain survey equipment including GPS units, total stations, levels, and data collectors
• Support construction staking and layout activities for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects
• Collect accurate field measurements and survey data
• Process and organize field data for mapping and drafting purposes
• Assist in preparing survey maps, plats, and reports
• Research property records, deeds, maps, and survey documents
• Work closely with licensed land surveyors, engineers, and project managers
• Ensure accuracy and quality control of survey data and documentation

What You Bring

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics, Geography, GIS, Construction Management, or a related field
• Basic understanding of land surveying principles and practices
• Familiarity with GPS equipment, total stations, or surveying coursework
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, co-op, or academic experience related to surveying, civil engineering, or GIS
• Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, MicroStation, or similar software
• Familiarity with survey calculations, boundary surveys, and topographic mapping
• Knowledge of GPS, UAV/drone surveying, LiDAR, or GIS technologies
• Interest in pursuing Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure in the future

Expected Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
