Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking entry-level Field/Office Engineers for exciting underground and foundation projects across North America. You will assist both in the field and in the office, supporting estimating, layout, and execution tasks while developing technical and collaborative skills.

Base compensation ranges from $82,000 to $88,000 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to travel and advance within a leading infrastructure contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (civil, mining, mechanical, geotechnical, construction management).
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to travel and relocate across the country; field and office work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpreting drawings and specs for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and measurements; calculate completed/installed material work.
• Prepare work plans and work packages; assist in field surveying and layout support.
• Assist in compiling daily labor timesheets and safety documentation.
• Participate in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), safety reviews, and tool-box talks.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedule work groups; supervise field operations.
• Perform material takeoffs and basic engineering calculations to support field ops.
• Assist in gathering data for submittals and transmittals to customers and vendors.
• Support in cost tracking, change orders, and project records.
