Job summary

Pacific Office Automation is seeking an Entry-Level Field Network Technician to join our Bend, Oregon service team. You will travel to client sites to install, troubleshoot, and support network-connected office equipment and related technologies, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Ideal candidates have foundational knowledge of networks, Windows, and IT concepts, plus a willingness to learn and communicate clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• Understanding of network connectivity, security, and Wi‑Fi environments.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, SMB, and ports.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (21+).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot network connectivity and device communication issues.
• Configure and support network-connected office equipment.
• Diagnose hardware, software, and networking problems.
• Communicate with customers to identify issues and provide solutions.
• Work with both technical and non-technical users.
• Document service activities and communicate updates through phone, email, and written reports.
• Travel locally to customer locations throughout the service area.
