Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. seeks an entry-level Field Engineer in South Bend, Indiana. You will assist the project team under supervision to understand field and office operations and their impact on construction.

You will coordinate shop drawings, handle basic estimating and takeoffs, purchase materials, track inventories, and monitor subcontractor schedules while preparing billings and invoices as directed.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree required, preferably in construction related field.
• Ability to assume responsibility and interface with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Shop drawing coordination.
• Office/field support staff.
• Estimating and quantity take off.
• Purchase necessary materials to complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain material and equipment inventory at project site.
• Schedule monitoring and updating.
• Monitor assigned subcontracts, subcontractor schedules relative to material deliveries and subcontractor manpower.
• Significant involvement in preparing billings and reviewing invoices.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
