Job summary

Ryan Companies is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer in Kansas City, MO. The role reports to the Superintendent and supports the project team in field and office operations, linking daily tasks to the project’s physical construction.

Key duties include shop drawing coordination, estimating takeoffs, purchasing materials, inventory control, schedule monitoring, subcontractor oversight, and billing support. A 4-year construction-related degree and U.S. work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in construction or related field required.
• Ability to assume responsibility and interface with project team.

Responsibilities

• Shop drawing coordination.
• Office/field support staff.
• Estimating and quantity take offs.
• Purchase necessary materials to complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain material and equipment inventory at project site.
• Schedule monitoring and updating.
• Monitor assigned subcontracts, subcontractor schedules relative to material deliveries and subcontractor manpower.
• Significant involvement in preparing billings and reviewing invoices.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
