Job summary

One Class ENG, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer in Houston to support design, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems for semiconductor facilities.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and field teams on HVAC, piping, utility, and cleanroom systems. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; basic knowledge of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluids, HVAC

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, specifications, and project documents.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and coordination of HVAC, piping, utility, and cleanroom mechanical systems.
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, submittals, and equipment data.
  • Support basic engineering calculations, equipment selection, material takeoffs, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with field inspections and verify installations against approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Prepare RFIs, reports, equipment schedules, and supporting project documentation.
  • Identify and help resolve mechanical design and installation conflicts.
  • Monitor construction progress and document field conditions.
  • Support system testing, commissioning, Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing activities.
  • Assist with punch-list completion and project closeout as needed.

Job description

One Class ENG, Inc. specializes in engineering and construction for advanced manufacturing facilities, with expertise in cleanrooms, HVAC, utility systems, piping, and plant engineering.

As an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems for large-scale semiconductor facility projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and field teams while gaining hands-on experience with HVAC, piping, utility, and cleanroom systems.

Locations: Houston, TX | West Lafayette, IN | Atlanta, GA

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, HVAC, and piping.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, specifications, and project documents.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Internship, coursework, or project experience involving HVAC, piping, utility systems, or mechanical design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, mechanical-design software, or similar tools.
  • Engineer-in-Training certification or interest in pursuing the FE/EIT credential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English or Spanish and English is preferred.
