Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic knowledge of estimating, takeoffs, cost analysis.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for construction, mechanical, HVAC, piping, and utility system work.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, bid documents, and other technical information.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and organize labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Request, review, and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist with bid tabulations, proposal preparation, and cost reports.
• Track project budgets, commitments, purchase orders, change orders, and actual costs.
• Identify cost discrepancies, potential risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and field personnel to verify project requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized estimating records and supporting documentation.
• Support project teams with additional cost analysis and estimating assignments as needed.

As an Entry-Level Cost Estimating Engineer, you will assist with cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and project cost tracking for large-scale semiconductor facility projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and field teams while gaining hands-on experience in construction estimating and cost control.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic knowledge of construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, and cost analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Internship, coursework, or project experience in construction estimating, cost control, or project management.
• Experience with estimating software, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar construction-related tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English or Spanish and English is preferred
