Job summary

IPG Photonics is seeking an entry-level Fiber Assembly Technician in Marlborough, MA. You will use hand tools and light power tools to prepare fibers for medical surgical products, following work instructions and blueprints with precision.

No experience is required as training is provided. You will lift up to 15 lbs, stand for extended periods, and contribute to quality through careful handling, documentation and teamwork in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic reading of work instructions, blueprints or schematics; basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Aligns and joins parts into housing using power and hand tools.
• Follows work orders to cleave and test fibers.
• Attaches RFID tag and aligns fiber for laser.
• Sends finished fiber to stock and labels.
• Records job details in the production database.
• Retrieves fibers from stock for packaging and labeling.
• Routes finished fiber to sterilization and QA.
