Job summary

San Antonio Regional Hospital is hiring an entry-level maintenance technician. The role covers a variety of general maintenance and construction duties, including inspecting, repairing, and maintaining buildings and equipment within the hospital campus.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and about one year of related experience, preferably in health care. A California driver’s license is required; forklift and HVAC certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed within 12 months of hire.
• One year of building maintenance and equipment repair experience, preferably in health care.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge in Painting, Carpentry, Maintenance, Electrical, HVAC and Locksmith.
• Basic computer skills; read blueprints.
• Valid California driver’s license; forklift certification preferred.
• Locksmith certification/bonded and HVAC EPA certification as applicable.
• Experience with hand and power tools; employee provides personal basic tools.
• Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
