Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Charleston, SC, seeks an entry-level Maintenance Assistant to support the engineering team with maintenance and repair of building systems on-site. The position is on-site at Charleston, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

This role provides growth opportunities in the engineering field. Responsibilities include completing work orders in CMMS, maintaining tools and safety practices, and supporting on-call or emergency tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
• Assist with general maintenance including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or painting
• Complete assigned work orders in CMMS and maintains appropriate service documentation
• Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe conditions
• Work closely under the direction of Operating Engineers, Chief Engineers and others
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
• Other projects and tasks to be assigned
