Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment in assigned facilities. This entry-level role offers hands-on growth in the engineering field and works under supervision with safety as a priority.

Based in Charleston, SC, the position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, on-site. The role includes completing work orders, assisting with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and ensuring tools and

Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive.
Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Assist the engineering team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
Assist with general maintenance including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or painting.
Complete assigned work orders in CMMS and maintains appropriate service documentation.
Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe conditions.
Work closely under the direction of Operating Engineers, Chief Engineers and others.
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable).
Other projects and tasks to be assigned.
