The Fabricator I (Metal) role at Tec Group Inc in Livonia, MI focuses on cutting, welding, and fabricating metal components. Entry-level candidates with either fabrication or mechanical experience are welcome, and training will be provided on shop floor processes.

You will work under supervision to weld with TIG/MIG, operate plasma cutter and oxy-fuel torch, and assist in maintaining safe, organized work areas. Own tools beneficial.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No previous experience required.
• Certificate in Welding Technology or related.

Mansioni

• Weld instrumentation, exhaust tubes, and bosses.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with sanding disk and wire brushes to remove impurities such as scale, rust, grease, and moisture.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.
• Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.
