Job summary

HellermannTyton North America is seeking an Extrusion/Punch Technician I to support safe, efficient operation of an extrusion machine or punch press to produce high-quality products. This entry-level role involves monitoring processes, performing inspections, and routine maintenance with supervision, learning from the production lead and supervisor to maintain quality and resolve equipment issues.

This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop orders.
• Forklift experience preferred and ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and basic mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections.
• Report equipment issues to lead or supervisor.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues on a Punch Press or Extrusion.
• Machine and support resolution.
• Perform grinding tasks as required.
• Read work orders to determine Part numbers and materials.
• Set machine and process parameters for optimal performance.
• Complete tooling setup, cleaning, and storage.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping and assist with other duties.
