Cowboys Big Iron Services, LLC is seeking an ambitious Associate Construction Estimator to join our Edgewood, NM team. This entry-level role provides mentorship under project leadership to learn preconstruction and cost estimating for heavy civil, earthwork, and utility projects.

You will assist with plan reviews, digital quantity take-offs, vendor quotes, and bid package assembly, growing into a full estimating professional through hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-performance

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting civil blueprints and construction specifications.
• Basic geometry and spreadsheet calculations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and building formulas.

Responsibilities

• Review project blueprints and specifications with senior estimators.
• Perform digital quantity take-offs for earthwork, utilities, asphalt, and concrete.
• Solicit vendor quotes and reach out to subcontractors.
• Organize bid documents and update plans in folders.
• Input data into estimating spreadsheets and templates.
• Coordinate with project managers and field superintendents.
• Prepare bid submittal forms and scope clarification sheets.
• Assist with post-bid handoff for awarded projects.
