Job summary

Kreher Family Farms in Wolcott, NY is seeking an Equipment Operator/Compost Attendant I to learn the compost and fertilizer facilities and operate equipment under supervision. You will assist in safely processing manure into compost and support basic maintenance, with opportunities to grow into higher level roles.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, comfort with Payloader/Skid Steer, and strong organizational skills. A Class B license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong aptitude for operating equipment (payloader, skid steer, dump truck).
• Excellent organizational skills and initiative.
• Able to work independently with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate composting equipment safely.
• Assist in processing manure into compost.
• Support basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Learn operation of the skid steer and payloader with direct supervision.
