Job summary

Kreher Family Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the Compost Department in Wolcott, NY. This full-time role supports mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on farm equipment, with start around 7:00 AM and 40+ hours per week.

The ideal candidate has a strong maintenance background, the ability to work with limited supervision, and may train junior technicians. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in related technical field is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or related area.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks assigned by the manager or through the Maintenance Activity App.
• Respond to maintenance requests for equipment repairs with urgency.
• Visually inspect equipment to prevent future injuries to operators.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document work completed.
• Maintain shop area and equipment used for repairs.
• Train Maintenance Technician I employees as needed.
• Maintain two‑way communication with manager and team members.
