Job summary

Intertek in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an Entry Level Environmental Technician I to support environmental consulting services. The role involves asbestos and indoor air quality related work, surveys, sampling, and site assessments, with some off-shift hours and travel.

The candidate will perform field activities, document findings, and communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to maintain project schedules. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or technical degree preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to environmental work.
• Ability to read and understand scope of work / work plans.
• Must be able to work off shifts and overtime; willing to travel as needed.
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Surveys
• Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Abatement Monitoring
• Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Clearance Sampling
• Asbestos Air Sample Analysis
• Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)
• Phase II/Subsurface Investigations
• Compose and review field documentation and reports
• Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to keep projects moving
• Participate in QA/QC programs and Safety Programs
