Pace Analytical Services LLC is seeking a Scientist I to join our environmental testing laboratory in the Altoona area. You will perform hands-on analysis and help ensure the accuracy of environmental data that safeguards communities and ecosystems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or a related STEM field, and the ability to work in a lab environment with PPE. Training is provided, and full-time benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM field.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment.
• Willingness to wear PPE and comply with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry methods.
• Review and interpret results from sample analyses.
• Document procedures, observations and results clearly.
• Clean, maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
