Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC in Altoona, PA, is hiring Lab Technician I to support our environmental testing laboratory. You will join the sample preparation department, receive training, and grow a laboratory sciences career while complying with safety and quality standards.

The shift is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays and Sundays off, and compensation of $15.00 per hour. A high school diploma is required; prior lab experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a lab/office setting, stand for long periods, wear PPE.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support all laboratory sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, processing and maintenance.
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices.
