Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Biology, or related field.
• Valid US Driver's License required; Motor Vehicle Records review.
• Willingness to travel locally; overnight travel possible.
• Hybrid work schedule with in-office days in PA/NJ/MD/VA.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead ecologist/wetland scientist in stream, wetland, wildlife habitat assessments and other surveys.
• Process field data and help develop ecological assessment reports using field equipment such as tablets and GPS.
• Coordinate with agencies on survey protocols and reporting standards for endangered and threatened species.
• Review desktop information to complete environmental impact assessments.
• Learn field survey equipment, data forms, and reporting tools with team leads.
• Prepare permit applications and other technical information.
• Collect and analyze data under supervision; use software for data management and calculations.
• Travel locally; US travel possible depending on project.
