Clean Harbors is seeking a Chemical Handler to join our safety-focused team in the United States. The role requires attendance at an in-person Clean Harbors Academy out of state for onboarding and training, with airfare, hotel, transportation, and per diem provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Prior chemical handling experience or chemistry knowledge preferred.
• BS/BA in Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science is a plus.
• Willingness to complete background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Make waste pickups at labs as needed.
• Package and label waste products and other materials.
• Identify unknown chemicals when encountered.
• Inspect staging, accumulating, and storage areas for proper housekeeping and compliance.
• Collect, segregate, and package waste chemicals for disposal.
