Job summary

TechServ in the United States seeks an entry-level Engineering Technician/Designer for the Electrical Distribution team. You will undergo 2–3 weeks of hands-on training, earn industry certifications, and become proficient with the client’s CAD software while supporting project phases from planning to documentation.

This in-office role requires travel about 20% and offers growth toward higher levels. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, an associate in Drafting / Design Technology, and familiarity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in Drafting / Design Technology preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel emphasis) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to support client projects and implement design changes.
• Execute electrical design tasks using standard drawings and NES procedures.
• Prepare designs for newbuilds, alterations, and redevelopments.
• Review drawings for quality, scope, budget and schedule.
• Assist with project setup in PM systems and data entry.
