TechServ Engineering in Beaumont, TX seeks an entry-level Engineering Technician/Designer for the Electrical Distribution team. You will receive 2–3 weeks of hands-on training, earn industry certs, and learn the client's CAD software to design newbuilds, alterations and redevelopments across distribution, transmission and substation projects.
Working in a team, you will support planning, site evaluation, design analysis, construction documentation and project tasks.

As an entry-level Engineering Technician / Designer for the Electrical Distribution team at TechServ, you will begin with 2-3 weeks of hands-on job training. You will gain industry certification(s), and become proficient with the client's proprietary CAD software. After completing training, you will work under the general supervision of Project Coordinators to create high-quality designs for newbuilds, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects, including: electrical distribution design, transmission, and substation design. You will work as part of a team to support various project phases, including: planning, site evaluation, design analysis, report preparation, construction documentation, and more. Over time, you will work with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients. Travel is required for this position (approximately 20% of the time).
This position serves as an entry point for additional levels of growth throughout the company (e.g., Engineering Technician II, II, IV). The ideal candidate for this role has a strong interest in working with technology and working in a team setting in an open office plan.
