Job summary

Linde plc is seeking an Entry Level Engineer for its Leadership Technical Orientation Program (LTOP) in the United States. The role offers a 52-week curriculum exposing you to plant operations across product lines such as air separation and hydrogen, with hands-on start-ups, maintenance, and project planning.

You will operate process equipment, monitor performance, and support QA and regulatory compliance while collaborating with engineering, controls, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering; GPA 3.0+ strongly preferred
• 0–3 years of internship or cooperative education roles demonstrating technical capability
• Communicate effectively and build cross-functional relationships
• Manage multiple priorities and solve problems independently with attention to detail
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint using analytical skills for technical challenges
• Willing to travel up to 25% and relocation may be required for program assignments

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 52-week structured curriculum exposing you to plant operations across multiple product lines
• Engage in hands-on operational activities such as start-ups, shutdowns, maintenance, and project planning
• Operate process equipment via control systems and in the field (motors, compressors, pumps, instrumentation)
• Monitor efficiency, energy consumption, and optimize operating modes
• Support QA programs, regulatory compliance, and assist distribution and operations
• Collaborate with process/ project engineering, controls, maintenance, reliability, safety, and operations teams

What you will enjoy doing*

• Youwill participate in a fifty‑two‑week structured curriculum designed to givebroad exposure to plant operations across multiple product lines includingair separation, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, helium, raregases, and standard plants
• You shall engage in hands‑on operational activities such as start‑ups,shutdowns, maintenance, project planning, training, troubleshooting, safetyprogram execution, and daily plant support
• In this role you will operate process equipment both through the controlsystem and in the field including motors, compressors, pumps,instrumentation, and utilities such as electrical, water, steam, andinstrument gas
• Take responsibility for monitoring efficiency, assessing energy consumption,optimizing operating modes, and implementing changes to improve overall plantperformance
• Additionally, support quality assurance programs, ensure regulatorycompliance, assist distribution and operations personnel, and executeprojects consistent with budgets and operating schedules
• Furthermore, collaborate with process engineering, project engineering,controls, maintenance, reliability, safety, and operations teams whilegaining mentored leadership development throughout the program

What makes you great

• Youwill hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a grade point average of3.0 or higher strongly preferred
• You shall bring zero to three years of experience supported by internshipor cooperative education roles that demonstrate strong technicalcapability
• In addition you should communicate effectively, build productivecross‑functional relationships, and adapt quickly to shifting operationalneeds
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems independently,and drive tasks to completion with strong attention to detail
• Additionally, show proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointwhile applying analytical skills to technical and operational challenges
• You are willing and able to travel up to twenty‑five percent to assignedplant sites and training locations and open to relocation as required forprogram assignments
