Job summary

COMMUNITY RENEWAL TEAM INC is seeking an Intake/Certification Specialist in Middletown, CT to support energy program intake, assess eligibility, and provide application assistance and referrals to community resources.

The role requires scheduling customer appointments, maintaining accurate files, and delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment. English/Spanish bilingual ability and a two-year degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in human services or related field preferred.
• High school diploma with work experience may substitute for a college degree.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency cases within 24 hours of customer inquiry.
• Schedules and reschedules customer intake appointments, as needed.
• Provides quality customer service.
• Reviews customer applications and accompanying documentation for accuracy and eligibility per program rules.
• Maintains orderly customer paper files in accordance with program requirements.
• Performs outreach services and participates in community events and/or conducts community education sessions.
• Maintains daily activity log.
