Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an entry-level Electrical Reliability Engineer (EDP) for our Brewton, AL containerboard mill. You will support electrical systems, collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams, and drive improvement projects from concept through completion.

You’ll gain hands-on experience troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors, and improving equipment uptime while developing leadership skills in a dynamic, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Eligible for full-time employment in May 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, implementation, and startup of capital and expense projects with internal and external partners.
• Collaborate with operations and capital engineering to ensure project execution and success.
• Develop sustainable solutions with operators and technicians to increase uptime and efficiency.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for procurement and project execution.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems ensuring safety and performance.
