Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an entry level Electrical Reliability Engineer (EDP) for our containerboard mill in Brewton, AL. You will gain hands-on experience supporting the electrical systems and equipment that keep a large manufacturing operation running safely and reliably.

You will collaborate with experienced engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to solve real‑world challenges, strengthen equipment performance, and bring improvement projects from concept through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer.
• Eligible for full-time employment starting May 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, implementation, and startup of capital and expense projects with internal and external partners.
• Collaborate with operations and capital engineering to ensure project execution and success.
• Develop sustainable solutions with operators and engineers to increase uptime and efficiency.
• Consult with vendors and contractors for procurement and project execution.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems ensuring performance and safety compliance.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues during operation with maintenance teams.
