Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an entry level Electrical Reliability Engineer (EDP) for our containerboard mill in Brewton, AL. You will gain hands-on experience supporting electrical systems and equipment, collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to solve real-world challenges and improve equipment performance.

You will help identify better maintenance practices, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to safer, more reliable operations while developing technical and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship.
• Eligible for full‑time employment in May 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, implementation, and startup of capital and expense projects with internal and external partners.
• Collaborate with operations and capital engineering to ensure project execution and success.
• Develop sustainable solutions with operators, technicians, and engineers to increase equipment uptime and design efficiency.
• Consult with equipment vendors and contractors for procurement and project execution.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems to meet performance criteria and safety standards.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues during operation with maintenance technicians and participate in continuous improvement.
