Job summary

Alterman is seeking an Estimator I to join the Industrial Water/Wastewater team in San Antonio, TX. The Level I Estimator develops and prepares cost estimates of materials for various electrical projects.

Essential duties include bid preparation (80%), preparing bills of materials, assisting with proposals and RFP responses, and supporting the Labor Analysis Workflow and PACK assemblies. A high school diploma is required; no experience is required, though a journeyman license or associate degree

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required.
• Journeyman license or associate degree in electrical field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of estimating preferred.
• Understanding of electrical distribution, motor controls, or branch and lighting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bid preparation and quantity takeoffs for electrical projects.
• Prepare bills of materials for quotations.
• Process project quotations and verify vendor materials against bid documents.
• Assist with proposals, scope letters, and RFP responses.
• Support Labor Analysis Workflow and PACK assemblies as assigned.
