Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Englewood, CO, seeks an Electrical Engineer to grow your expertise in power plant and industrial electrical systems. You will work under the project lead in a team that designs, modifies, and analyzes electrical systems for power plants and industrial facilities.

You will design power distribution, prepare equipment specifications, and support project teams with drawings, calculations, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering required.
• Familiarity with electrical system design incl. MV/LV distribution and equipment selection.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of power plant and industrial electrical systems.
• Develop power distribution designs and prepare procurement specifications for major electrical equipment.
• Coordinate systems design activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Prepare functional design drawings: single line, relay/metering, cable block, and schematics.
• Prepare detailed calculations: voltage drop, arc flash, and protective relay settings.
• Interface with vendors to prepare BOMs and equipment purchase specifications.
• Travel to client/vendor offices for design reviews and field verifications; support construction coordination.
